On the road......

Several plug chops and they are a nice colour now, not too shabby for a linkert I reckon

Miles of smiles ......

Dorset and Somerset country Lanes... The knuck loves them

However I can highly recommend not buying cheap primary belts... 100 mile ride and 200 yards from home all the teeth stripped off this one, 3M shit, back to the Gates then....  The bike coasted me back to my home so well done there but the morale of this story is.... Always carry a spare belt !!!!

Quick change of belt and back out on it...

Running nice and strong
Time to have a sort out on the front brake though as it is fading fast

Long and low!!!!

Skinny as a crack whore

Vaughan is happy with the riding position too...

Wa all like a brass right?

Does make the knuck look like a tarts handbag.... I love it !!

First ride after the rebuild

And how did it go?

Running like a champ
I'm the happiest man alive today

Going back together

6.30 am start in the garage this morning

Took a while to get my head around some of the small things that have arisen because of the increase in engine height, the least of which was I had to trim some of the coil bracket cos it was touching the rocker cover....... It's the small things that swallow the hours

Engine in and shimmed, tranny in and primary lined up, inner primary, engine pulley, belt and clutch done

Well the motor and gearbox is finished and ready to go back in

Big thanks to Baz for all the time, help and knowledge that he has given me on this...... knuckle gurus are getting thin on the ground nowadays and Baz is as good as they get !!!

Knuckle motor is getting some love

Rebore, K Black pistons, complete truett & Osborne crank, etc etc.... sprucing up the gearbox with new bushes, bearings and a re vamped gearing
With lots of tech assistance by one of the original chopper gods, my good friend  'The wizard of knucks' Baz

and while the motor is out a bit of re wiring, brake crossover bushes, restore the throttle push cable arrangement, clean out the oil tank, a new peek fuel shut off valve, etc etc and finishing off with some powder, paint and polishing...

More to follow.....
